1.6 Million Private-Label Pool Poles for The Home Depot

The Home Depot needed a 2-section pool pole whose bare tube could pass a 6-foot, 9-drop test with zero deformation — a bar their previous supplier's poles failed. Xingyong re-engineered the tube and finish, hit a 3-day sample and 35-day bulk lead time, and has since shipped 1.6 million pieces across 16 reorders at a 0.01% defect rate and 100% on-time delivery into the US and Canada.

The Challenge

A Pole That Had to Survive the Drop Test

The Home Depot sells telescopic pool poles into a demanding US retail-returns environment, where a pole that dents or bends on the shelf or in the customer's hands drives costly returns. Their spec was strict: a bare 6-foot pole had to withstand a 9-time drop test with no permanent deformation. Their previous supplier's poles deformed under that test. They needed a partner who could re-engineer the tube for impact resistance, hold a firm delivery schedule for big-box volume, and run it under Home Depot's own brand. See our pool pole and swimming pool telescopic pole ranges.

Our Solution

A Drop-Test-Proof 2-Section Pool Pole

We re-engineered the tube wall and temper for impact resistance so the bare pole clears the 6-foot, 9-drop test without deforming, tuned the twist-lock for smooth extension, and anodized the tubes in silver for a consistent retail finish. The poles ship in reinforced cartons under The Home Depot's brand with a standard US universal connector. See our private label and telescopic pole programs for related configurations.
